TDI Extended Range Instructor Course

TDI INSTRUCTOR COURSE – EXTENDED RANGE

The TDI Extended Range Instructor course, available in Phuket Thailand, provides the training and experience required to be certified to competently teach air dives to 55 metres that require staged decompression, utilising Nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression. In some areas in the world dive centers or dive boats just do not have the ability to deliver helium. The TDI Extended Range course is perfect to teach tech divers how to use Air as deep diving gas.

The goal of this course is to train Instructors in the proper techniques, equipment requirements, and hazards of deep air diving to a maximum of 55 metres and utilising Nitrox mixtures or oxygen for staged decompression.

TDI Extended Range Instructor Course Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age 21
  • Provide proof of 250 logged dives, 25 must be extended range dives
  • Certification as a TDI Extended Range Diver or equivalent
  • Certification as a TDI Advanced Nitrox and Staged Decompression Instructor or equivalent
  • Must have certified 10 students in advanced nitrox diver or decompression procedures diver, a minimum of 5 must be decompression procedures divers

Course Structure :

  • 5 days (plus one full assist)
  • Pre-requisites apply to all instructor level courses
  • Certification fee to be paid directly to SDI/TDI HQ

The course can be done on either advanced Sidemount setup or on Back mount configurations.
