CCR AIR DILUENT DECOMPRESSION COURSE – 40 meters

The TDI CCR Air Diluent Decompression Course (certification depends on unit used during training) available in Phuket Thailand, is the second level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) for air diving.

The goal of the TDI AIR DILUENT DECOMPRESSION Rebreather course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) and to develop basic CCR diving skills to a maximum depth of 40 metres / 131 feet using an air diluent for formal decompression diving.

    • Setup and maintenance of the unit
    • Loop volume management
    • Calibration of electronics
    • Emergency procedures
    • Buoyancy control
    • CNS tracking

This course is run of 5 days and builds upon foundational skills learn an mastered on the entry level class. Divers will learn how to conduct technical decompression dives using the Rebreather managing additional bailout and decompression bottles.

If you are a TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco diver and this is your first CCR course, the TDI E-learning materials you need is the GENERIC CCR. If you are a TDI CCR diver already you don’t need any materials. TDI only has a generic ccr manual.

This TDI CCR Air Diluent Decompression Course is Unit Specific. Blue Label Diving can teach the following rebreathers under TDI:  JJ CCR, Inspiration, Triton, Megalodon, Pathfinder or Poseidon MKVI and Seven

TDI CCR HELITROX DIVER – 45 meters

The TDI Helitrox CCR course examines the theory, methods, and procedures for planning staged decompression CCR dives utilizing helium in the diluent to reduce narcosis.

The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a CCR and to develop basic CCR diving skills, to a maximum of 45 metres / 150 feet, using an air/nitrox/helium diluent for formal decompression diving.

Student are permitted to utilize a diluent and bailout mix with no greater than a 20% helium content and no less than a 21% oxygen content and are permitted to use up to 100% oxygen for decompression.

Besides the same topics as the ccr air diluent Helitrox has the following extra:

    • Helium considerations
      • Helium absorption and elimination
      • Advantages of hyperoxic mixes for decompression
      • Advantages of helium for bottom gas
      • Hypoxia
      • HPNS
      • Effects on respiration
      • Effects as an insulator
      • Helium limitations
